Description: |
Joseph F. Paris Jr., President, XONITEK Corporation, will present “Applying Lean to the Service Industries,” as a part of Cornell’s Spring 2007 Leadership Skills Program (LSP). The Leadership Skills Program, concentrated in the Johnson Graduate School of Management is a diverse, leadership-intense series designed to better equip tomorrow’s leaders by teaching cross disciplinary leadership skills, rather than teaching only those skills directly related to the student’s primary discipline. Paris’ presentation contributes to this initiative through the instruction of Lean methodology, and it’s role in enhancing productivity and effectiveness in the Service Sector. Founded in 1994, Cornell’s Leadership Skills Program (LSP) is comprised of experiential learning mini-courses that generally involve 3-4 contact hours. The courses are conducted in workshop format and cover topics including: leadership and team building, project planning, the art of persuasion, cross cultural communications, the effective use of the Internet, and personal development. This is a closed event.
